HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

To enjoy a moist and soft steam, make sure the thermostat is set to the right temperature. If it is too high, the amount of oxygen in the sauna’s air will reduce and the temperature will rise too high. As a result, the steam will feel too hot and dry.

If you use worn-out stones with weak heat capacity and thermal conductivity, you have to overheat the sauna, which will result in dry air and can damage the heater.

The amount of stones in the heater also greatly influences the softness of the steam. With electric heaters you can adjust the softness by adding an extra layer of stones on the surface of the heater so that the topmost stones don’t heat up too much and the steam evaporates from the lower stones. You need to make sure that air circulates properly in the heater to avoid overheating the resistors.

The excellent heat capacity and thermal conductivity of olivine diabase speeds up the heating of the sauna stones, which results in excellent steam even at very low temperatures. This saves a great deal of energy, prolongs the life of the heater and results in a soft, moist steam. Please refer to the Soft Steam Method.
